Truffles: black treasure in Umbria!

Four days in the Valnerina, the narrow valley of Nera river between mountains that conceals hidden towns, inspires outdoor activities, conquering palate with the hidden treasure: black Umbrian truffle.

1st day
Full day to discover Valnerina's villages. Ferentillo, old town with unique cultural and religious attraction: Mummies museum and St Peter in Valley Abbey of longbard origin VII century.
Visit of Scheggino, lovely medieval town.
Welcome dinner in restaurant with local product and truffles.
Accommodation in the hotel and overstay night.

2nd day
You will have the chance to enjoy an interesting and amusing "truffle hunt" to search for truffles in the wood. After the "hunt" an interesting cooking class to learn the secrets and techniques to prepare delicious dishes with truffles. Finally you will enjoy a delicious lunch with truffles and other local specialities.
Return to the hotel and overstay night.

3rd day
Explore the ancient town of Spoleto, its beautiful Romanesque Cathedral, the Albornoz fortress and the Towers Bridge, impressive 13 century aqueduct dominating the valley.
Free time to outdoor activities in Valnerina: horse riding, trekking, rafting, quad-bike and mountain bike excursion (optional on request).
Return to the hotel and overstay night.

4th day
Visit to the park of Marmore Falls, the highest waterfall in Europe.
At lunch time visit to Piediluco for a nice cruise across the picturesque lake on mini-ferry; lunch on board including a taste of local product specialities.
