These special events are usually held to celebrate local patron saints or landmarks of the Catholic liturgic calendar, such as Christmas and Easter. Among these we may mention the Infiorata, a Flower Art Festival held yearly in the day of the Corpus Domini, during which artists and volunteers prepare amazing works of arts on streets' pavement using flower petals and coloured powders. Same will be used as tapestries for the Procession carrying the Holy Bread while walking around the streets on the flower pictures. Most popular Umbrian Infiorate are those of Spello, San Gemini and Cannara.
Many other re-enactments and processions celebrate the Nativity during Christmas time or the Passion of Christ during Easter week. Among the most fascinating are the Nativity at Marmore Waterfall and Easter Friday Procession at Colfiorito
